A low-level cloud that forms a grey or white layer. Can reach down to the ground and is persistent in nature.

In order for Stratus clouds to form conditions need to be calm and stable.
What weather will you have if these are overhead?
Boring weather will be instore.
How high is it?
The base is anywhere from 0 m (0ft) upto 400m (1,200 ft)
The top can reach 15,000 - 18,000 m (45,000 - 52,000 ft)
