Help yourself relax and chill with these relaxation pictures

Everyday you see pictures that are upsetting and distressing so what better antidote than a source of pictures that are relaxing, calming and uplifting. Relaxation pictures are searched every day and so I thought a gallery of my pictures and links to third party services that also serve pictures for and of relaxation would be helpful.

Unsplash is a great resource that is free and has a lot of great images that you can use as desktop backgrounds or phone backgrounds. 

All are free at the time I write this but its nice to credit the photographers such as Alejandro Piñero Amerio who took this picture.

There terms are:

Unsplash photos are made to be used freely. Their license reflects that.

What is permitted

• All photos can be downloaded and used for free
• Commercial and non-commercial purposes
• No permission needed (though attribution is appreciated!)

What is not permitted

• Photos cannot be sold without significant modification.
• Compiling photos from Unsplash to replicate a similar or competing service

Thats very fair of them!

Pexel has a large selection of relaxation images on its portal.

•  All photos and videos on Pexels are free to use.
•  Attribution is not required. Giving credit to the photographer or Pexels is not necessary but always appreciated.
•  You can modify the photos and videos from Pexels. Be creative and edit them as you like.

What is not allowed?

Respect the hard work of our contributors and keep these restrictions in mind.

• Identifiable people may not appear in a bad light or in a way that is offensive.
• Don't sell unaltered copies of a photo or video, e.g. as a poster, print or on a physical product without modifying it first.
• Don't imply endorsement of your product by people or brands on the imagery.
• Don't redistribute or sell the photos and videos on other stock photo or wallpaper platforms.

Sounds reasonable and really helpful for creatives.

These are not free and prices will vary. A vast collection with over 9 million  just related to relaxation when I last looked.

Pixabay contents are free to use for commercial and non-commercial purposes. However, depicted content may still be protected by trademarks, publicity or privacy rights. While no payment is needed to use the media, it is always appreciated when you credit the contributor as it provides exposure to their work and encourages them to continue sharing. While not required, we also allow users to make donations to contributors.
